Entering the NBA as the No.1 overall pick for his hometown of Chicago, IL, Derrick Rose exceeded all expectations early on in his career as the youngest MVP in NBA history (22 years old). He led the Bulls to the No.1 seed in the East and the young team looked poised for success in the 2010s. Unfortunately, D-Rose’s unreal shiftiness and uncontainable quickness was too much for his knees to handle as he dealt with numerous leg injuries that derailed his once MVP-caliber career.
He then bounced around the league, joining the Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, and then the New York Knicks where he helped turn the notorious losing franchise into a playoff contender and has enjoyed a resurgence back into prominence. D-Rose has been one of the most iconic players in the league and has already accomplished a lot throughout his career.
