The 2021-22 NBA season was certainly one to remember. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the season started much later than usual and only consisted of 72 regular season games instead of the usual 82. 2x MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks triumphed over Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns to win the NBA Championship, the franchise’s first title since 1971. The NBA recently looked back on the memorable season by releasing the best dunks from the 2021-21 season.

NBA RELEASED THE BEST DUNKS OF THE 2020-21 SEASON

The NBA began “Dunk Week” by counting down the top 100 dunks from the 2020-21 season. This list included a variety of epic jams and athletic slams, from Miles Bridges‘ tomahawks to Deandre Ayton’s GW Valley-Oop in the Western Conference Finals. The #1 dunk on the list, however, was rookie No.1 pick Anthony Edwards’ monster baseline jam over Yuta Watanabe, which sent his teammates into a frenzy and put the rest of the basketball world on notice.

The league also released a series of compilations, highlighting the top alley-oops and dunks on defenders as well as the best slams from rookies and G-League alums. With the amount of pure athleticism on display across the league, the NBA continues to captivate fans from all across the world with these physical specimens launching in the air before a thunderous throw down.
