The Bears sent a 2024 2nd round pick to the Commanders in exchange for the talented pass rusher. Sweat was a 1st round pick for the Commanders in 2019 and recorded 29 sacks through his first 4 seasons in the NFL. He will serve as an important piece of the Bears defensive line for the rest of the season, with a long-term extension very likely.
