Chris Mullin Was 1 of the Greatest Warriors Ever

Chris Mullin was drafted seventh overall in the 1985 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors out of St. John’s. As a rookie, Mullin started in 30 games while averaging 14 points per game and made 89.6% of his FT. By his fourth season with the Warriors, he made his first out of five consecutive All-Star games while scoring a career-high 26.5 PPG. After 12 seasons with the Warriors, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers in 1997, where he and Reggie Miller led the Pacers to the ECF three times, but only came away with one conference title.

Chris Mullin led the Warriors to multiple playoff births during his time in Golden State. With five All-Stars and four All-Pros, Mullin proved himself to be one of the top players of the 1990s. He also had three seasons in the top-ten of steals across the NBA and finished in the top ten of FT% in the league six times including leading the NBA in 1997-98 (93.9%). The Warriors were not a very successful franchise until the arrival of Curry, but some of their few successes took place with Mullin leading the team.
