DeMarcus Cousins was originally drafted fifth overall in the 2010 NBA draft and made an immediate impact for a struggling Kings team, starting in 62 of his 81 GP. Boogie made a big jump his sophomore season, averaging four more points and nearly three more rebounds as he adjusted to the NBA.

Cousins became an All-Star in 2014-15 and never looked back, making three straight thereafter. Cousins was traded to the Pelicans where he played two years before signing with the Warriors, struggling with multiple injuries on both teams. Cousins missed the entire 2019-20 season recovering from a torn ACL, however, he came back for 2020 to play half the season with his friend John Wall on the Rockets before being bought out and joining the Clippers where he played the rest of the 2020-21 NBA season.

DeMARCUS COUSINS IS 1 OF THE MOST SKILLED BIG MEN TO EVER PLAY IN THE NBA

Boogie Cousins was a talent like none other before injuries took hold. Recording five straight seasons with at least 20+ PPG and 10+ RPG, Cousins could not be contained by other big men in the league. Not only that, but Cousins improved his three point shooting every year in the league for his first six seasons. His dribbling ability and overall offensive skillset was rarely seen from a man with as much size as Cousins had (6’10”, 270 lbs).

Cousins was proving to be an all-round unstoppable force as he was also increasing his APG almost every year, and reached a career high with 5.4 alongside Anthony Davis on the Pelicans, proving that he could be effective with another star big man. Boogie also had good footwork for a Center, and if not for injuries, was on a trajectory to be up there with the greatest big’s of all-time. While his injuries came before he could solidify a Hall of Fame career, he’s still one of the most skilled bigs to ever play the game.
