Originally drafted by the New England Patriots with the 27th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, Devin McCourty started his career playing Cornerback, but switched into being a Safety after three years in the league. McCourty was a problem to a lot of QBs as he recorded at least 13 passes defended in his first three years playing CB.
As well as being part of three Super Bowl teams with the Patriots, McCourty made his second Pro Bowl in 2016 after recording 67 solo tackles. McCourty has played his entire 11-year career in New England and has plenty left in the tank, earning $8 million this upcoming season while his twin brother Jason McCourty departed Massachusetts for Miami.

Devin McCourty has made a tremendous impact for the Patriots in his 11-year tenure with the team, including being a highly vocal defensive leader who led the defense to three Super Bowls in the 2010’s. Besides being a leader, McCourty also has the most PD in Patriots history with 92, the sixth most INT in Patriots history, and is third for the most solo tackles in Patriots history. McCourty has the records, leadership, and three Super Bowl rings to solidify himself as the best Patriots Safety of all time.
