MOST VALUABLE INTEL: Miami is 1 Playmaker Away From Title Contention

Once the NBA season resumes, each franchise has a primary need that must be answered. Whether a team is near the bottom or the top of a conference, they will have a paramount problem to address in order to be competitive post-coronavirus. The Miami Heat shocked the Association this season by ranking fourth in the East after last year’s acquisition of SF Jimmy Butler provided a strong leader for the young core of PF Bam Adebayo, SG Kendrick Nunn, and SG Tyler Herro. The Heat aren’t quite on the same level as the league-leading Bucks, but the addition of a lead playmaker could close the gap by solidifying Miami’s starting five, which has previously relied on several secondary ball-handlers. The rest of the teams in the NBA each have a key void to fill if they wish to improve for the 2020-21 season.

MOST VALUABLE INTEL: Vikings Draft Makes Them a Contender Again

Every NFL franchise solved a few personnel issues through the 2020 Draft, but only a handful made changes that significantly improved their 2020-21 season outlook. Analyst Ben Linsey picked a team from each division that improved the most from their new rookie prospects. Fans of the Minnesota Vikings may have been disappointed after losing key pieces in Stefon Diggs, Linval Joseph, and Everson Griffen, but should now feel optimistic due to the Vikings superb 2020 Draft class. Headlining the group is WR Justin Jefferson (111 receptions, 1,540 yards, and 18 TDs) and capable CBs in Jeff Gladney and Cameron Dantzler, who could all be starting this Fall. Each of the draft classes for the seven other most-improved teams all have high ceilings if developed correctly.

MOST VALUABLE INTEL: Suns Passing Gives Hope to Future Contention

Since the Phoenix Suns drafted Devin Booker in 2015, the team has failed to win more than 30 games in a single season. Even though the 23-year-old SG has undeniable talent, the organization has been unable to surround Booker with a formidable roster. One promising aspect of the Suns current lineup is their passing efficiency, as they were leading the league in assists per game (27) prior to the pause of the NBA season. If the Suns can build on their statistical improvements, they could have the potential to contend in the Playoffs for years to come with their young core. Produced by CBS Sports, this analysis describes how Booker and the Suns have grown together and what needs to be done for them to take the next step forward.

MOST VALUABLE INTEL: Joe Burrow is the Clear-Cut OROY Favorite in 2020

Multiple prospects headlined the 2020 NFL Draft, but only one will be crowned Offensive Rookie of the Year at the end of next season. Following QB Joe Burrow, nine other candidates have a respectable chance to be OROY given their ideal team situations. The reigning Super Bowl champs picked three-down RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (32nd overall) who broke 85 tackles on 269 touches in LSU’s elite offense (most among Class of 2020 RBs). In Andy Reid’s high-octane passing game, the Chiefs will somehow find a way to be more dangerous and explosive in the 2020-21 season and could receive a huge boost from Clyde. The remaining candidates have the best opportunities to be OROY given the favorable offensive situations that they now call home.

FULL ARTICLE: Ranking the 10 Best Outfields Entering 2020 by Jaime Segui, Pro Sports Outlook

MOST VALUABLE INTEL: Mets OF Has Boom-or-Bust Potential

PSO’s Jaime Segui helped develop a grading system that evaluates every team’s Outfield based on their starting LF, CF, RF, and backup OF. After grading each team, the top Outfields were ranked from there to showcase the best 10 in the MLB. In addition to one of the best SP rotations in baseball, the NY Mets crack this top-10 list as RF Yoenis Cespedes is expected to join All-Star OF Michael Conforto (.257 BA, 33 HRs in 2019) and J.D. Davis (.307 BA, 22 HRs in 2019) this season to give the Mets one of the highest-ceiling OFs in the business. If the players avoid injuries and setbacks, the Mets could have one of the deepest and powerful Outfield units in the league. The nine other teams that round out the top-10 each warranted an overall grade of a B or better and have the ability to make some noise in the 2020 Postseason.
