After Kyler Murray signed his new monster contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals, there’s no better time to look at all of the historic accomplishments and greatest records the young superstar QB already owns.

As the number one overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, Kyler Murray was expected to be the QB of the future for the Arizona Cardinals. Replacing the struggling Josh Rosen, Murray immediately cemented himself as the franchise’s signal caller of the future, winning the 2019 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. As one of the most dynamic playmakers in all of football, K1 has set numerous records in the desert and brought spectacular talent to a Cardinals locker room that desperately needed it, earning a massive contract in the process.

Born and raised in Texas, Murray first burst on the scene as one of the greatest High School players in state history. Kyler initially kept his talents local by attending Texas A&M for his freshman season before transferring to Oklahoma during his final two years. His Junior campaign was particularly incredible, when he scored 54 touchdowns and won the Heisman Trophy before being drafted and ultimately choosing football over baseball where he was also a top-10 pick by the Oakland Athletics, the first-ever top-10 pick in both leagues.

Of course, the Cardinals believe that Murray has what it takes to lead them to a Super Bowl victory and have surrounded him with superb talent like DeAndre Hopkins. The 2019 OROY has already shown that he can lead a team to the playoffs, as Arizona made the postseason in his third year. He was then rewarded with a new 5-year, $250.5 million dollar contract extension with $160 million guaranteed on July 21, 2022, making him the second highest-paid QB in the NFL at the time, behind only the reigning 2x MVP Aaron Rodgers
