April 1st, 2021 was remembered for 2021 MLB Opening Day with plenty of walk-offs, home runs, electric moves from Fernando Tatis Jr., a clutch Mike Trout RBI, and a historic 1st inning in the Rangers-Royals game. In the NBA, the Spurs and Hawks embarked in a 2OT thriller until Trae Young’s heroics got them over the hump despite DeRozan’s clutch OT-forcing jumper. Victor Oladipo and LaMarcus Aldridge made their debuts with Miami and Brooklyn in wins and the Nuggets took care of business against the Clippers.

See what happened in sports on April 1st last year headlined by Aldon Smith coming out of four-year retirement to join Dallas, the Texans adding Timmy Jernigan, and PSO releasing the first of their 2020 NFL Draft Scouting Reports. This daily sports article includes real headlines only (no clickbait rumors), all of the best highlights, interesting facts from around the NFL, NBA, & MLB, the main games to watch, top performances of the day, notable birthdays, and a quick recap of significant events on this day in sports history.
