1998: In NBA Finals Game 6, Chicago Bulls SG Michael Jordan hit the iconic “Last Shot” in Utah to secure Chicago’s 6th NBA Championship in 8 years (2nd 3-peat), along with his record 6th Finals MVP award as he shot the most % (52%; 35/67) of a team’s FGA in NBA Playoff history

1995: Houston Rockets completed their sweep of the Orlando Magic in the NBA Finals to become the 1st (and only) team to win the Championship as a non-top-4 seed, winning every series on the road with HOU securing consecutive championships after acquiring Clyde Drexler midseason

1992: Chicago Bulls set an NBA Finals record by overcoming a 15-point deficit entering the 4th quarter to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 6. SG Michael Jordan became the 1st player to win back-to-back NBA Finals MVP awards and scored the most PTS (759) during a single postseason ever

1990: Detroit Pistons defeated the Trail Blazers 92-90 in Game 5 to win their 2nd consecutive NBA Championship, becoming just the 3rd franchise to successfully defend their Championship (Lakers, Celtics) at the time

1870: After winning 81 consecutive games since forming the previous year, the Cincinnati Red Stockings (1st fully-professional baseball club) suffered their very 1st loss at the hands of the Brooklyn Atlantics, 8-7 in 11 innings
