1968: Detroit Tigers OF Al Kaline broke Hank Greenberg‘s record for the most career HR (306) in Tigers franchise history. Kaline spent his entire 22-year career in Detroit and would record a total of 399 HR, which still stands as the record today

1960: During his debut for the San Francisco Giants, SP Juan Marchial pitched a Complete Game 1-hitter during a 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Phillies
