October 8th, 2021 was highlighted by the Red Sox’s remarkable win over the Rays where they set MLB and franchise postseason records thanks to their dominant offensive display. Every other division series had a game on Friday as well with the Astros’ 7th inning avalanche leading to a 2-0 series lead over Chicago. Logan Webb’s outstanding postseason debut along with Buster Posey’s big night helped the Giants take a 1-0 lead over LAD and Rowdy Tellez’s GW-HR lifted Milwaukee over the Braves in Game 1.

1995: Trailing by 1 run in ALDS Game 5, the Seattle Mariners DH Edgar Martinez’s iconic 2B walked off the New York Yankees that scored Joey Cora from 3rd and Ken Griffey Jr. from 1st in the 11th inning in what’s known as the biggest hit in Mariners history
