2004: Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz became the 1st player to collect multiple walk-off Hits during the same postseason series as he blasted an ALCS Game 5 walk-off HR after a walk-off hit in ALCS Game 4 to help spark Boston’s historic 3-0 comeback

1988: Oakland Athletics 1B Mark McGwire hit a walk-off home run to defeat the Dodgers 2-1 in World Series Game 3. It ended up being the only win Oakland had as Los Angeles won the series 4-1

1977: New York Yankees OF Reggie Jackson hit a HR on the 1st pitch in 3 consecutive at bats, driving in 5 runs during an 8-4 win over the Dodgers to clinch their 21st World Series (first since 1962) that solidified his nickname as “Mr. October”
