September 30, 2022 in sports was highlighted by a storybook-ending in Seattle, as the Mariners clinched the playoffs with a pinch-hit walk-off HR by Cal Raleigh. Seattle broke a 21-year playoff drought, the longest such active streak in the MLB/NFL/NBA. The Blue Jays also clinched the playoffs on a night where Bichette, Manoah, and Springer all set records.
