Toronto Blue Jays continue to rake in the offensive records, with the latest being the most Home Runs during a season in franchise history

The 2021 Toronto Blue Jays were one of the most prolific offenses in the league thanks to a superb offensive core of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, Marcus Semien, Teoscar Hernandez, and George Springer, along with a few others. Toronto’s offense has now broken the record for the most HR during a season in franchise history. Toronto did have much expectations entering 2021 besides looking to see growth from the young core, but it’s translated into the best power-hitting season in franchise history.

The Blue Jays are known for their prolific offense and it didn’t disappoint in 2021. Toronto had the most HR in franchise history, stamping their legacy among all-time Jays teams. Marcus Semien’s addition to a vaunted lineup was one of the best free agent signings in recent history and he did his part for Toronto. Ultimately the team fell short of the playoffs, but next year could be their year.
There have been some great sluggers that have been in the Blue Jays lineup, including Carlos Delgado, Vernon Wells, and Jose Bautista who all made an impact for Canada’s team, but their current core is looking to leave their own legacy in the MLB. If the Blue Jays add a few bullpen arms, to go along with their tremendous starting pitching, the team should be in a position to compete in 2022 and might look to top their own record from 2021.
