The San Diego Padres updated Team Outlook after the team signed 1B/UT Jake Cronenworth to a seven-year, $80M contract extension. It is the biggest deal ever for a player Cronenworth’s age (29) with less than four years of service. The extension kicks in next season and locks him up through 2030. Last year, Cronenworth, the two-time All-Star, hit an average of .239 with 30 doubles, 17 home runs, 88 RBIs, and a .722 OPS.
