Tampa Bay Rays outlook after acquiring Christopher Morel and pitchers Hunter Bigge and Ty Johnson from the Chicago Cubs for Isaac Paredes. They also have acquired prospects Dylan Lesko, Homer Bush Jr, and J.D. Gonzalez from the San Diego Padres for right-hander Jason Adam. The Rays have fallen out of playoff contention in a competitive AL East and sold to a Cubs team that is looking to contend in 2025 and beyond and a Padres Team that is looking to make the playoffs this year. In exchange, they refueled their farm system.
