The St. Louis Cardinals and SP Adam Wainwright have agreed on a 1y/$15+M extension for 2022 in what will likely be the 3x All-Star’s last MLB season. The veteran has spent his entire career in St. Louis, winning two Gold Glove Awards, one Silver Slugger Award, and the 2006 World Series. Despite turning 40 years old earlier in 2021, Waino has helped the Cardinals significantly in their late playoff push as he’s done time and time again throughout his illustrious career.

ADAM WAINWRIGHT WILL GO DOWN AS 1 OF THE BEST CARDINALS PITCHERS EVER

Over the last fifteen years, Adam Wainwright has built a legacy in St. Louis that cannot be overlooked. Cardinals fans have come to expect brilliant pitching performances and a lethal curveball every five days. Wainwright has led the Cardinals to several deep postseason runs, and he and the city of St. Louis are hoping he has at least one more left in him with 2022 likely being his last season. Once he officially hangs up his cleats, he’ll go down as one of the best Cardinals Pitchers to ever wear the uniform.

Wainwright is a STL legend
