Cedric Mullins has burst onto the scene in 2021 with a flashy glove, elite speed, and surging power numbers. The most recent accomplishment for Mullins is becoming the first Orioles player to record 30+ home runs and 30+ stolen bases during a single season, something no player has ever done in franchise history. This breakout season for the centerfielder gives Orioles fans a reason to watch for years to come as he continues to develop.

CEDRIC MULLINS IS HAVING 1 OF THE BEST SEASONS IN BALTIMORE ORIOLES HISTORY

The Baltimore Orioles, despite being one of the worst teams in MLB, have some bright spots on their roster. All-Star centerfielder Cedric Mullins continues to prove he is one of the best players in the entire league. From an elite glove to a power bat, Mullins is an all-around superstar who just became the first Orioles player with 30+ home runs and 30+ stolen bases during one season. Prior to this season, Cedric was a switch hitter who had some moderate success in 2020.

This year, he switched to becoming a left-handed hitter exclusively and the move has paid off big time for Mullins. Factor in tremendous speed and the Orioles have a future building block while they wait for their other prospects to develop. Baltimore’s franchise Center Fielder is a quintessential 5-tool player who continues to prove doubters wrong. Time will tell if he can repeat this level of production, but for now he can be considered one of the best players in baseball after an all-time season in O’s history.
