The combined points for any Blazers Forward or Center (Jusuf Nurkic, Robert Covington, Norman Powell, Carmelo Anthony, Enes Kanter) with at least six minutes of game time was 34. Jokic himself had 38 during Denver’s Game 2 win. Additionally, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., and Paul Millsap were all in double figures as their front-court starters accounted for over 50% of the team’s total points, and shot over 50% from the field as well.
Denver’s big men had no problem getting buckets, and was able to get Nurkic fouled out with 10 minutes left. Denver’s front-court is their clear advantage over Portland that proved to be the difference in Game 2 and could be the catalyst for their series victory.
