The Atlanta Hawks squared off against the New York Knicks on Sunday in what is set to be a thrilling series, just like Game 1. It was a back and forth contest between the two overachieving teams, but Trae Young and Atlanta got the last laugh. Ice Trae scored a game-high 32 points along with the game-winning floater. It was tight down the stretch, as Alec Burks and Young were trading off big plays. They combined for 12 of the last 17 points in the game, but a Burks miss with 35 seconds left opened the door for Atlanta, who seized the opportunity with the win.

In his third season, Young’s playoff debut was one to remember. At only 22 years of age, he came into the world’s most famous arena full of hopeful fans and silenced them with a game-winner. Negative chants were being sent his way throughout the game, but he rose to the occasion and delivered an all-around performance to give Atlanta the crucial road win. Although it was only his first taste of the postseason, Ice Trae made it clear that he was made for the big games and was born for the high-pressure moments that come with playoff hoops.
