JA’MARR CHASE IS THE BEST ROOKIE WIDE RECEIVER THE NFL HAS EVER SEEN
COLORS KEY | FULL BENGALS OUTLOOK
Ja’Marr Chase had the makings of an absolute star when he helped lead LSU to a CFP national championship in 2019. Fast forward two years later to his first season in the NFL, and he along with QB Joe Burrow showed the potency of their connection, as the upstart Bengals went into Baltimore and routed the division-rival Ravens 41-17, forging a tie for the AFC North lead. Chase’s start to his rookie season has put him in the company with some all-time greats, and he’s on pace to break numerous records.
Taken at fifth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Bengals reunited Chase with Joe Burrow in an effort to add to an explosive offense and turn around a struggling franchise. Through seven games, Chase already has six TD, has set an NFL record for most REC YDS through a player’s first seven games, and set the Bengals franchise record for REC YDS by a rookie in one game. Chase’s talent, plus his connection with Burrow, makes this team so much more dangerous in the years to come. This is just the beginning.
