Franchise Quarterbacks don’t come around often and the Chargers pounced on finding one when they drafted Justin Herbert sixth overall in the 2020 NFL draft. Ever since he was thrust into starting duty from a Tyrod Taylor injury, Herbert has shown terrific promise in the NFL and is realizing his potential in the 2021 NFL season. The Chargers are a legitimate force if Herb continues to play like a future Pro Bowler.
Some Quarterbacks, such as Josh Allen, take a few years to develop in the NFL. Herbert realized his potential just two seasons into his career and elevates an improving Chargers’ team that has a great, young Head Coach in Brandon Staley.
