LeSEAN McCOY WAS THE GREATEST RUSHER IN PHILADELPHIA EAGLES HISTORY
While LeSean McCoy spent six years playing for other teams, the half a dozen seasons he spent in Pennsylvania will always be remembered above the rest. The six-year run he had with the Eagles to begin his impressive NFL career was where he earned the nickname ‘Shady’ for his devastating cuts and juke moves that regularly showed up on highlights. Despite only six seasons, Shady McCoy racked up the most rushing yards in franchise history with a plethora of other team records.
Steve Van Buren earned the most All-Pros (5) of any Eagles RB as 2x Champ with Philly but played before there was even a Super Bowl during the 1940s. Many modern fans might consider Brian Westbrook the greater overall Running Back than McCoy which is fair considering he recorded more career YScm and Total TD than Shady. However, LeSean has him beat in the rushing yards, rush TD, All-Pros, Pro Bowls, and season rushing yards departments which is why he’s the greatest Eagles rusher ever.
