The newly relocated Las Vegas Raiders began a new era in their storied history as they took down the New Orleans Saints, who were without their top WR Michael Thomas. It was a special night as the Raiders christened their new $2 billion home, Allegiant Stadium, with a memorable victory which took place exactly 50 years after the very first Monday Night Football game. This legendary night in Raiders history joins a plethora of famous MNF moments, including this historic 91-yd TD run by former Raider and Hall of Fame RB Bo Jackson.

Raiders TE Darren Waller was all over the field, catching the ball and making plays almost every time the ball was thrown in his direction as he finished with 12 catches for 103 yards and a score.

Raiders FB Alec Ingold made history on Monday night, becoming the first player to ever score a TD in Las Vegas for the Raiders.

Working the Saints defense all night and eventually wearing them down, RB Josh Jacobs barreled his way through for another memorable performance.

Raiders QB Derek Carr had a nice performance in his Vegas debut, throwing for 282 yards and 3 TDs.

After fumbling earlier in the game, Raiders RB Jalen Richard redeemed himself on a nice 20-yd scamper for a TD that made it a two-score lead for Las Vegas in the final quarter of their inaugural home game.

41-year-old QB Drew Brees has struggled in the early going of the 2020 season, as it seems age may be finally catching up to the NFL’s all-time passing leader. In his defense, Brees was without his go-to weapon in this game, but he’ll be the first to admit that this interception is inexcusable no matter who’s out there.

Alvin Kamara was one of the few bright spots in the Saints’ loss, reaching the end zone twice and leading the team in receiving with nine catches for 95 yds.

Despite the Raiders dominating on both sides of the ball, the Saints still had a chance to win the game late, but a pass interference call down the field and this 54-yd FG in the clutch by Carlson ended any realistic possibilities of New Orleans stealing a win in Vegas.

The Las Vegas Raiders shined in their debut in the Entertainment Capital of the World as they handled the New Orleans Saints, 34-24. Jon Gruden was dialing it up all night as he continuously put his offense in a position to succeed while the defense prevented the Saints from even thinking about any big play and always kept the ball in front of them. Vegas won in the x’s & o’s department as well as in the trenches, which is always a recipe for success.
