FULL ARTICLE: Breaking Down the Fantasy Football Potential of All 32 NFL Wide Receiver Rooms in 2020 by Ian Hartitz, Pro Football Focus
MOST VALUABLE INTEL: Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller can post strong WR1-WR2 production with QB Foles
NFL offenses are becoming increasingly more reliant on the passing game rather than handing the pigskin off to their RB for 30+ touches per game. While some franchises may have more proven weapons to work with than others, all 32 of them have a handful of potentially productive players entering the 2020 season. In the attached report, Ian Hartitz of Pro Football Focus evaluates every team’s WR committee, considering both their past production, athletic ability, and promising potential.
The Chicago Bears made the dramatic decision to trade for QB Nick Foles and restructure his contract to a 3y/$24M deal. With the franchise likely to bench 2017 second overall pick QB Mitch Trubisky for the upcoming season, there’s now a budding gleam of hope in the Windy City. Wideout Allen Robinson is right behind Michael Thomas, Julio Jones, and Davante Adams as one of the clear-cut WR1s in today’s game (98 RECs, 1147 YDS, and 7 TDs in 2019). Memphis product Anthony Miller is the Bears’ WR2, but lacked consistent production while Trubisky was under center. If Foles can retransform into the QB1 that carried the Eagles to their Super Bowl victory in 2018, the Bears’ WR core will turn fantasy football heads this season.
