August 11th was jam-packed with many must-see MLB highlights from grand slams, to walk-offs, to amazing web gems on the field. No individual performance on this day will be remembered a year from now, or even a week from now, but many games came down to the wire and featured some exciting highlights that are featured below.

Enjoy the best highlights from Tuesday’s MLB action all in one place:

No MLB game has been played in Buffalo, NY since the 19th century. The first official big league game in western New York since the 1800s ended in dramatic fashion as the Blue Jays walked it off in the 10th inning.

It looked like it was going to be a clear victory as Toronto had 2 outs on Miami with a 3-run lead in the 9th. However, Francisco Cervelli overcame the odds and launched a game-tying shot to force the extra innings.

Entering Tuesday, the Cincinnati Reds had compiled seven wins, but none of them came on the final at-bat. That changed when Joey Votto stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the 10th inning against the Royals with a 403-ft shot that hit off the 404-ft wall to drive in the game-winning run.

Mike Trout and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. are shoe-ins for two of the most exciting hitters to watch throughout the 2020s, but as the decade gets kicked off with a 60-game season, they found themselves getting robbed on August 11th by these wonderful web gems.

In what can be considered the wildest game of the day, the Orioles and Phillies battled until the final pitch as they traded blows in the 8th, 9th, and 10th innings that ended in a Baltimore victory to move them to 8-7 on the season.

The Dodgers have owned the NL West for almost an entire decade but the San Diego Padres are the clear contender with the hopes of dethroning the reigning 2x NL Champions (plus 2019 when they lost to the eventual World Champions in a win-or-go-home game). Grand Slams like this from Manny Machado will be needed for the Padres to make it happen.

Trae Young is the most notorious ‘Trae’ with range in the sports world, but it was the World Champ Trea Turner who showed his range on the diamond with this great catch while also setting a franchise record for leadoff homers (10).

The Astros are the league’s most-hated team after getting caught for cheating and they can’t seem to catch a break in 2020. A day after coming short on a no-hitter, the ‘Stros blew a 4-run lead in the 7th as the Giants successfully pulled off the comeback in H-Town thanks to Pence’s clutch shot in the 7th and Crawford finishing the job in extra innings.

Standing only 60 feet away, Gio Gonazlez displayed some quick reaction time on this line drive that could’ve easily put him on the IL. Instead Gio’s hand-eye coordination allowed him to put his glove in the right spot and stop Niko Goodrum from getting on base.

The Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers were deadlocked in a late tie on Tuesday until Jedd Gyorko cranked one over the center field wall to give the Brew Crew what they needed to come away victorious.

Full game highlights of today’s close games will be posted here once they conclude.
