The wildest day in MLB postseason history witnessed EIGHT different playoff games in one day that featured walk-offs, clutch grand slams, pitching masterpieces, and web gems around the diamond. Freddie Freeman, Trevor Bauer, Gio Urshela, DJ LeMahieu, and Corey Dickerson were some of the heroes that will be remembered forever for what they did on Wednesday.

In the longest scoreless postseason game in MLB history (through 13 IP), the Braves and Reds were entrenched in an all-time pitching duel. While Cincinnati had multiple opportunities to take the lead, Atlanta found a way to get out of the jam every time. While the Braves didn’t have as many chances as Cincy, the likely 2020 NL MVP Freddie Freeman seized the moment in the 13th inning with a walk-off winner.

The Yankees-Indians matchup in Game 2 had everything fans want to see in a postseason battle: leads changing hands throughout the game, late-game heroics, and a go-ahead Grand Slam while trailing by three runs. Cleveland will not play anymore postseason games in 2020 after this loss, but they certainly gave New York a run for their money in this one.

Hitting a Grand Slam is the best possible outcome for a hitter as it not only equates to a home run, but also adds on four runs to the scoreboard. Gio Urshela & Hunter Renfroe both reached their peak on Wednesday with a couple of 4-run bombs that were too much to overcome by their opponents.

A day after some aces performed at an extremely high level, Trevor Bauer, Tyler Glasnow, Max Fried, and Chris Bassitt also shined in the postseason spotlight, coming through big-time for their teams when needed.

While the A’s became the only AL team to force a winner-take-all game on Thursday, they didn’t make it look easy. Chicago was down 5-0 at one point until Yasmani Grandal reignited Chicago’s comeback efforts. That culminated in a highly-tense 9th inning with CHW trailing by only two runs and the bases loaded that forced lockdown closer Liam Hendricks to get replaced. LH RP Jake Diekman came in for Oakland and got arguably the best hitter in the AL this season to groundout that got out of the biggest jam of the season.

When predicting MLB playoff winners, there’s very few non-Marlins fans that can admit they picked Miami to win this series in Chi-town. However, Corey Dickerson doesn’t care what people think as he blasted a CLUTCH 7th inning go-ahead shot to lift Miami to a huge Game 1 win.

Carlos Correa is clearly sick and tired of hearing all this talk about Houston’s cheating scandal and he’s backing up his words with actions on the diamond. The reigning AL champs’ SS made the perfect relay in a big situation to keep the game tied in the 5th before taking the lead himself with a solo shot in the 7th that extended Minnesota’s dreadful postseason losing streak.

After making a play like this, is it fair to question whether this was Jose Berrios or Derek Jeter?
