1. LeBron James is the only player ever who’s a top-5 passer AND top-5 scorer of all-time
There has been a lot of GOAT talk this week since Patrick Mahomes is facing Tom Brady in Super Bowl 55 as two generational greats. LeBron James is also heavily featured in a NBA GOAT conversation himself with fans usually pitting him against Michael Jordan. MJ’s run of dominance and Finals perfection will likely never be matched, but King James is undoubtedly a better all-around player, mainly due to his passing prowess.
King James is currently eighth on the all-time assists list, but is poised to enter the top-4 in the next two years as he continues to play at the top of his game. CP3 is the only active player ahead of him who might prevent him from placing third, but nobody is stopping the King from being a top-3 scorer of all-time as he’s already passed Kobe Bryant for the third most points of all-time and has now surpassed Wilt Chamberlain for the third most baskets made ever.
He’s the only player ever that will go down as top-5 scorer and top-5 passer. The King’s production is unmatched and it’s completely unprecedented the level of performances he’s still racking up in Year 18 with another triple-double now under his belt at 36 years old. The GOAT conversation typically can only be resolved in the final game of the season, but nobody can deny that when it comes to the combination of passing and scoring, the two most important skillsets to have in the game of basketball, LeBron is the King of the crop.
