Atlanta found themselves down double-digits at the break, and put together a stellar second half performance to stay within reach of the conference finals. Philly had chances to win or tie the game late, but were unable to convert. Trae Young balled out with 25 points and a staggering 18 assists. Joel Embiid recorded 21 rebounds, but had a poor night shooting (20% FG). The series will now head back to Philadelphia for Game 5 in what is now a best of three matchup to see who advances to the Eastern Conference Finals.

  • 76ers failed to make a single FG inside the final 2:43 of Game 4 on Monday night
  • Philly was outscored by 16 PTS to Atlanta in the 2nd half of Game 4
  • 76ers are now 0-2 in games decided by 4 or fewer PTS this postseason

PHILADELPHIA 76ERS LACK OF A TRUE CLOSER COULD BE THEIR DOWNFALL

COLORS KEY | FULL 76ERS OUTLOOK

The Philadelphia 76ers went ice cold down the stretch in a pivotal Game 4 against Atlanta. They didn’t record a single FGM in the last two and a half minutes. Joel Embiid missed a layup with a few seconds remaining, and Seth Curry didn’t convert the potential game-tying 3pA as time expired. With the playmakers that Philly is equipped with, they should have plenty of options late in the game, but no one has consistently stepped up to the plate when the games matter most. They are now 0-2 this postseason in games decided by four or less and could be eliminated soon due to their lack of a true closer.
