Wednesday’s smaller slate of games did not disappoint viewers as the day’s action was full of intense battles, which made for plenty of noteworthy highlights. The only contest that wasn’t close by the end of the game is even worth mentioning as the L.A. Clippers secured the No. 2 seed in the West thanks to a win over the No.3 seed Denver Nuggets. The enticing games included clutch shots, budding young talent, and pinpoint passing, all of which can be seen below.

The fifth-year Forward out of Arizona has only averaged 1.4 points with Toronto this season, but he was in the right place at the right time as he stuck this timely 12-footer to lift his team past Philly after breaking the double team to set up the bucket.

Mike Muscala, who’s been somewhat effective in his allotted minutes in Orlando, went scoreless versus Miami; or at least that was until he decided to sink a pair of game-changing triples on OKC’s final possessions to lift them past the Heat.

With Russell Westbrook not active for Wednesday’s game, James Harden filled the stat sheet and tied Shaquille O’Neil as the only players with 40+ different 40-point double-doubles since the NBA merger in 1976. The Beard’s ferocity also awarded him a career-high-tying rebounding game to pair with his 45 points.

The L.A. native combo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George chose to team up last offseason and their hard work has paid off as they’ve clinched the No. 2 seed for the Clippers with a 50+ combined point performance, popping threes and attacking the interior.

In a tightly contested Atlantic Division matchup, the Sixers were caught sleeping on an in-bound pass as Kyle Lowry got creative by nutmegging the defender in order to find Pascal Siakam for the easy deuce.

Nikola Jokic showcased his innate facilitating skillset on a Hail Mary and a slick pass wrapped around the outstretched arms of Paul George to log an assist. The Joker joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only other Center in NBA history with multiple 500+ assist seasons.

Coming off a career-high scoring game, Chris Boucher made his presence known once again with a collection of emphatic rejections to give his reigning champion Raptors a boost against the banged-up 76ers.

The Rookie Darius Bazley has been an unexpected breakout player for OKC by notching over 20 points in his last three games. Bazley let it rain for the Thunder with the majority of his buckets coming off precision shooting from deep as he brought his team back after being down by a large margin.

Reminiscent of Luka Doncic’s recent highlight-worthy pass, his Serbian brother Goran Dragic served up this tasteful dish to a rolling Bam Adebayo

On a first-half team-high points contribution for a T.J. Warren-less Pacers squad, Edmond Sumner kept it rolling after intermission and documented a solid overall game. The spark plug PG from Xavier made good on corner threes and an energetic finish on the end of a pretty lob pass, aiding Indiana in toppling a fiery Houston team.

Full game highlights of today’s close games will be posted here once they conclude.
