Another dominant day for Michael Porter Jr. and Nikola Jokic resulted in Denver soaring past San Antonio despite three key players’ absence, and Joel Embiid filled the void of Ben Simmons after his abrupt exit due to injury. The No. 1 seeded Lakers suffered another loss, this time to CP3’s Thunder as Paul posted team-highs across the board. And Boston’s backup big man Robert Williams III willed his way to a personal best scoring night on a perfect night from the field.

In the absence of numerous Nugget impact players, rookie Michael Porter Jr. exploded for his second straight 30+ point performance, this time coupled with a career-high in rebounds (15). A handful of threes gave his Nuggets the edge over the Spurs and now brings them within .5 games of the No. 2 seed in the West for the second consecutive season.

It was a signature game for Chris Paul as he obliterated the Lakers with shifty pull-up jumpers preceded by skillful dribble moves. The OKC team leader had his hands full, reeling off a team-high in assists and rebounds in addition to points.

Joel Embiid was an immovable force as he went to work on the low block against a porous Washington defense. He picked up a cool 30 points to help salvage a game where his set-up man Ben Simmons went down with a left knee injury.

In a breakout performance, the former Texas A&M Aggie Robert Williams III flourished versus a depleted Nets roster. In the process of Boston dismantling Brooklyn, he locked in three blocks and a career-high point total (18) on a perfect shooting night (7-7 FG) in only 18 minutes of play.

Deep into the 3rd quarter, Nikola Jokic activated an NBA2K-esque takeover mode and lined up a hat trick of three-pointers on three consecutive possessions. The Joker poured on a total of 25 points and 11 assists to lift the Nuggets over the Spurs.

Duke pride Grayson Allen revved up his engines for a season-best of 20 points accompanied by a career-best six threes made on eight attempts, but his Grizzlies still came up short against the Jazz.

As Utah’s best three-point shooter with Bojan Bogdanovic recovering from surgery, Joe Ingles flexed his silky-smooth release in a win over Memphis. On a fiery 54.5% from three, six of Ingles’ seven made FGs were three-pointers.

Adding insult to injury for the Lakers, Thunder guard Hamidou Diallo fulfilled his job as their sparkplug with a rim-rattling slam on a high-speed drive that defenders didn’t even have time to react to.

Beginning to slowly find his footing in an extended role with Orlando, Fultz found high-flying teammate Terrace Ross on a dynamic alley-oop connection.

In a game that lacked positive takeaways for L.A., the Laker nation fan-favorite Alex Caruso threw down a filthy one-handed stuff in transition to keep his legend alive amidst the team’s recent skid.
