“Playoff Rondo” has stepped up throughout this postseason as the Lakers necessary third piece. His playmaking skills was on full display in Game 1 with nine dimes to match a miraculous behind-the-glass bucket late in the game.

Denver didn’t produce many highlights during their entire team’s first Conference Finals game (besides Paul Millsap). However, Jamal Murray still showed some glimpses of his 2020 playoff version which helped get the Nuggets to this point.

It seems like every time the Lakers play, there is a highlights section dedicated to King James, simply because he’s that good at the game of basketball. He’s creating exciting highlights every time he steps on the floor. LeBron’s looking for his 10th NBA Finals appearance (10 more than Denver’s entire franchise) with three more wins over the next six games vs. Denver.

Game 1 proved why the Lakers are still the clear favorite in the West, despite Denver’s momentum after multiple 3-1 comebacks. To keep it simple, it’s really because they have the best two players still standing on the same team. LeBron & AD have both showed up in about every single game of this postseason and kept that going in Game 1 as no team has found a way to slow either future Hall of Famer down.
