The keeper of the history books will be busy after Game 5 as LBJ made it one to remember. With a ticket to the NBA Finals on the line, LeBron James didn’t whiff at the opportunity to secure his tenth and the Lakers’ 32nd championship appearance as he posted a tremendous triple-double. In addition to LeBron’s incredible performance, AD defied gravity all game, MPJ used the glass to get innovative, and Caruso put on a show.

In a paramount Game 5 with countless implications in place, LeBron James did what legends do best by putting the team on his heavily ridden back to push through to the Finals with a 38-point triple-double (the most 30+ point playoff triple-doubles ever, by a large margin).

The DPOY runner-up Anthony Davis showcased the high-level player he can be as he met Denver’s budding star Michael Porter Jr. at the summit for the dirty denial and Rondo locked in on the frog-like AD with a lob from the three-point arc.

The Nuggets have been eliminated from the Disney Bubble, but the silver lining is they saw their rookie Michael Porter Jr. prosper under the lights of Orlando. MPJ shined once again on this dangerous pass to himself which he corralled and put back up for a determined two-points.

Redefining what it means to be a “guard”, the two-time NBA champion Danny Green elevated at the rim with a never-give-up mentality to take away what Plumlee presumed was going to be the easiest dunk of his life.

No Laker victory would be complete without a collection of highlights from Alex Caruso, who LeBron James affectionately calls “The GOAT”. The bench player made defenders appear to be playing at half-speed as he zipped by them to finish effectively at the hoop.

On the brink of elimination down 3-1 for the third time in the playoffs, the Nuggets rallied from down 16 in classic Denver fashion to bring the game within reach. Though, their valiant effort would be to no avail in an all-telling fourth quarter with LA’s double-headed monster of AD and LBJ eating up the Nuggets to advance to the Finals for a chance at bringing the coveted Larry O’Brien Trophy back to southern California.
