After being the first player to win Finals MVP for a team not in America, Kawhi Leonard’s stock has never been higher as arguably the best player on the planet. Even if his options may be limited to just the Clippers & Raptors, he’s still the clear-cut No.1 option on the free agent market this summer.
Despite suffering a torn Achilles, Kevin Durant is still a premier Free Agent on the market. Kawhi may have surpassed him in value because of what transpired this postseason, but KD is still a franchise player and even 95% of KD is still better than 99% of the people on the free agent market.
While signing with the Nets appears to be a”done deal,” he’s still a desirable free agent on the market. If another team does enter the mix, they’ll surely take Kyrie over any other player available not named Kawhi or KD.
Jimmy Buckets has continuously been a solid player, but never in the spotlight of a deep playoff run. With that missing from his resume, expect Butler to only consider signing with a contender this off-season. Of course, the team he was just on in the Liberty City was 1 shot from beating the eventual champion. Other prime destinations include Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Houston.
Kemba hasn’t gotten much buzz in Buzz City. While he’s continuously stated Charlotte is the favorite to re-sign him, if they don’t offer him near the $220M max deal he’s eligible for, he may begin to pursue other options like Los Angeles, Boston, and Dallas.
