Salvador Perez slammed his 43rd HR of the season as he continues to contend for the 2021 Home Run title along with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Shohei Ohtani. The best Catcher in Kansas City Royals history continues to add to his accolades from the 2021 season as he’s now just two home runs away from being the all-time single-season HR leader among Catchers. Only Johnny Bench’s legendary 1970 season stands above the 7x All-Star Perez.

With a championship, seven All-Stars, along with a handful of Gold Gloves and Silver Slugger awards, this is the kind of season that the 31-year-old Perez can use to elevate his name into the Hall of Fame conversation when it’s all said and done thanks to one of the best offensive seasons by a Catcher MLB fans have ever witnessed.
