The Mariners are one of the best teams in MLB, proving many of their doubters wrong behind a potent offense and superb bullpen. If they can somehow sneak into the playoffs for the first time since 2001, the Mariners could be the team nobody wants to play with momentum on their side and an uncanny ability to continuously come through in moments that matter most. Seattle’s Wild Card run should lead to better results in future seasons even if the Mariners aren’t able to get over the hump this year.
The Mariners - owner's of the longest active playoff drought in MLB, the NFL, NBA or NHL - are now just a half-game out in the Wild Card race.

The Seattle Mariners are one of the best stories in Major League Baseball right now. As it currently stands, the team is only a half game back of the Boston Red Sox for the second American League Wild card spot despite having a negative run differential. It has been a miracle season for the Mariners that they hope is emblematic of a bright future in Seattle.
20 years is a long time for any team to miss the postseason. The effort from this Mariners team is remarkable and has shocked the baseball world considering their preseason odds. RF Mitch Haniger and 3B Kyle Seager are having career years while Ty France has been one of the biggest breakout players of 2021. Their bullpen has collectively turned in a strong group effort led by relief ace Paul Sewald. The Mariners have a bright future ahead and believe this year is a stepping stone for years to come.
