Charlotte and Indiana don’t exactly represent the most exciting teams in the NBA, but they sure put on one hell of a game on Tuesday night. Competition is what sports is all about, and while this game didn’t have the flashy names like LeBron or an anticipated storyline like Trae Young’s return, it was two teams going back and forth until the very end and battled it out in OT.
Everything came full circle on Tuesday for Gordon Hayward as he had his best game in a Celtics uniform and put in the put-back dagger from the exact spot that he broke his ankle two years ago. Gordon Hayward is officially BACK!
The Jags were thought to have a tough decision over the bye week, but after Gardner Minshew’s awful performance in London, it became clear Nick Foles needs to be the starter upon his return. Now that he’s reinstated from the IR, the Jags announced that’s exactly what will happen.
Cam Newton used to be viewed as one of the most dangerous players in the NFL, but after a number of injuries recently, he’ll have to prove himself once again. And he won’t be able to do that until 2020.
#PlayerOfTheDay Gordon Hayward had his best game w/ the @celtics, missing only 3 shots on the night while tallying 39 PTS, 8 AST, & 7 REB. He tied his career-high in the scoring department on the same court he broke his ankle a couple years ago. Hayward is officially BACK! https://t.co/fqMTsSd7de
