In arguably the Game of the Year, the San Francisco 49ers & New Orleans Saints exchanged blows all game in a classic shootout in the Superdome where the Niners left victorious thanks to a GW-FG to have clear possession of the No.1 seed in the NFC.
Tyler Herro put the team on his back by scoring 16 of Miami’s final 18 points in the 4th qtr and OT. A future superstar is being born in front of our eyes.
Unlike the 2019 AFC Championship, the Chiefs ended up walking away victorious after their defense (and refs) proved to be the difference in this one. In the process, they ended a couple of significant winning streaks in New England (see Fact of the Day below).
While all the mainstream attention has focused on Lamar Jackson this season (for good reason), it was the defense that stepped up on Sunday and earned Baltimore’s 9th straight victory.
In Drew Lock’s 1st career road game, he performed at an All-Pro level against the likely playoff-bound Houston Texans. It’s still very early, but this could be a sign that the Broncos have (finally) found their Franchise QB.
Drew Lock’s the first rookie in NFL history with 300 yards and 3 TDs in his first road start.
The Titans and Steelers had no chance to make the Playoffs this year. Then they replaced their QB and the results have been insanely impressive with a 6th spot in the AFC up for grabs with one of these two teams likely to claim the last spot.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-0 with Duck Hodges as the starting QB, 4-0 when including Pittsburgh’s comeback victory against the Bengals once Hodges replaced Rudolph https://t.co/6jO2lSN2du
Sean McVay has the Rams getting their act together at just the right time, entering the final stretch looking like the powerhouse team of 2018, and added their biggest win of the season to their resume.
#PlayerOfTheDay Anthony Davis dropped a season-high 50 PTS on KAT & MIN. In the 4th 50pt game of his career, he became the 1st Laker w/ 50+ PTS & 5+ AST in a game since Kobe in 2006 & the 1st NBA player w/ 67.0+ FG% on 20+ FGM & 100 FT% on 10+ FTA since 1985 https://t.co/rtGNAtsj4L
