‘The Best in Sports’ is a daily PSO original series showcasing the best highlights, facts, and stories going on in the land of the NFL, NBA, & MLB every day. Get a recap on EVERYTHING that happened yesterday here.
In what will likely be remembered as the 2019 Game of the Year, the 49ers and Seahawks battled it out all the way to the end where a costly Delay of Game and no-call on a holding led to a 4th & Goal situation where Seattle came up just inches short. At least this goaline fiasco didn’t involve Marshawn Lynch.
Aaron Rodgers looked like a shell of himself in the first half, but reminded the world he’s a baaaad man when it mattered most to help Green Bay secure the bye with the comeback victory.
With a littany of injuries that would make the 2019 Yankees jealous, the Eagles continue to overcome their limitations with a “Next Man Up” philosophy that led to a required 4-game win streak to clinch their third consecutive Playoff berth.
The Titans needed a win to earn the final Playoff spot in the AFC, and thanks to Derrick Henry’s big day they not only got it, but the former Heisman also won his first career Rushing Title with 1,540 yards.

Lonzo Ball hasn’t gotten nearly as much attention in NOLA as he got in LA, but he’s starting to play the best basketball of his career thanks to an improved jumper. Since being re-inserted into the starting lineup, the Pelicans are 4-0.
2019 was a disappointing season for the Cleveland Browns to say the least and an “overwhelmed” Freddie Kitchens lost his job because of it, as a loss to the 1-win Bengals was the final straw.
#PlayerOfTheDay Derrick Henry won the 2019 rushing title after an explosive 211-yd game to clinch the 6th & final spot in the AFC playoffs. The former Heisman winner is a pending Free Agent and will look to cash out in the offseason after a 1,500 yd/15 TD Pro Bowl season https://t.co/na0ucglxpR
