Here is the best from February 4, 2020:

The best player in baseball is Mike Trout. He earned that title and his $430M contract. However, it’s hard to argue anybody is the 2nd best player without mentioning Mookie Betts’ name. At least that’s what Betts’ agent will be telling teams about the greatest overall free agent ever available. Next year’s free agency could be historic, but the Dodgers are risking a future All-Star OF, a 32-year-old average pitcher, and major salary cap space with the thought that they’re the favorites for re-signing the 27-year-old MVP. We’ll see how it works out.

James Harden went through a small slump to end the month of January, but he’s officially back with his 3rd straight game of 35+ points and a near 40-point triple-double with Russell Westbrook unavailable.

As talks for Clint Capela heated up, it then became public that he had been sent to Atlanta for Robert Covington with a whole lot of other pieces involved. In fact, it’s practically the most pieces in any trade of the 21st century.

The Mookie Betts & David Price trade obviously warranted the major headlines, but an interesting caveat to this blockbuster is the Dodgers other move to trade OF Joc Pederson to the cross-town Angels and join Mike Trout in Anaheim’s outfield.

On the night LA brought in Betts, LeBron caught absolute fire in the 4th quarter of this game after he rattled off FIVE straight 3’s in a manner of 3 minutes. It was one of the best 3-minute spans of the King’s career, looking vaguely familiar to Zion’s debut where he made a massive amount of 3PM in a short period of time, also against the Spurs.

Led by the MVP favorite, the Milwaukee Bucks have gotten off to one of the best starts in NBA history. They could be the team to beat for the Larry O’Brien this year.

The reigning MVP got the victory and had the better all-around game, but there were key moments in the game where Zion also shined vs. the NBA’s best team.

The Joker went off on Tuesday and was just a rebound and point shy of racking up back-to-back 30-point triple-doubles.

New York Knicks have been a laughing stock since James Dolan took over the team 20 years ago. Now they’re moving on from another Head of Basketball Operations, and Knicks fans are understandably losing patience with the tumultuous franchise.
