Kansas City looked like their old selves in the first quarter on Sunday, making mistakes left & right under the pressure of a home Playoff game. However, this time it isn’t Alex Smith or Matt Cassel or even Trent Green under center. It’s reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes, and he showed the world why he’s the best player in the game with his performance against Houston, scoring 3 TDs in 3 minutes, 7 TDs on 7 consecutive drives, and the most points in a non-OT Playoff game in the 21st century.
