Here is the best from January 19, 2020:

Patrick Mahomes was playing on another level against the Titans in the AFC Championship, and overcame another early deficit for the Chiefs 8th straight win heading into a very tough matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Because they have Mahomes, the Chiefs have a good chance to win that game.

Jerrick McKinnon went down before the season started. Tevin Coleman got hurt in this game. None of that mattered as UDFA Raheem Mostert continued to shine in Kyle Shanahan’s offense and had the best game of his career in the biggest game of his life. A repeat performance two weeks from now could give the 49ers a coveted 6th Super Bowl ring, tied for the most ever.

The comeback story of Richard Sherman is amazing. He tore his Achilles, negotiated his own deal in Free Agency by betting on himself, regained the skill to be considered one of the best corners in the game, and is now leading the best defense in the NFL to the Super Bowl.

Kansas City brought in Tyrann Mathieu over the offseason to be the leader of an overhauled defense. He’s shined in the second half of the season, carrying that momentum into the Playoffs. Mathieu’s set the tone for this Chiefs defense all season, and did a terrific job of doing that in this game as he layed the wood and played physical throughout the entire game, exactly what a team wants from their defensive leader.

Domantas Sabonis recorded his first career triple-double in the Pacers victory over the Nikola Jokic-led Nuggets in Denver.

DeMar DeRozan continues to play at a very high level for the San Antonio Spurs and is turning their season around.

This isn’t Dennis Kelly’s first career touchdown, as he scored one earlier this season (before celebrating with shotguns). Still, with this being his 1st postseason REC TD, he broke an NFL record.

Frank Clark made headlines with his remarks about Derrick Henry, just 24 hours before the AFC Championship game, but backed it up with the Championship-sealing sack on Ryan Tannehill to send the Chiefs to the Super Bowl. Late-game execution from the Right EDGE in the AFC Championship has proven to be the difference in the Chiefs clinching the Super Bowl or not in each of the past two years.
