The Leon Rose Era couldn’t have realistically had a better beginning. In the first game of the new President of Basketball Operations Leon Rose administration, the Knicks highest potential player had one of the best games of his rookie season and led the Knicks to a huge upset win against the NBA’s hottest team.

Russell Westbrook might’ve been unable to make the Game-Winning shot at the buzzer, but he did throw down this thunderous jam that had fans flashing young Thunder Westbrook images in their heads.

Miami has one of the best home records in the NBA for a reason. They added to their South Beach resume with a win over the best team in the league. If Miami can somehow get the 2 seed, they could find themselves playing this team in a series with a Finals appearance on the line in just their 1st year of the Jimmy Butler era before they’ve even landed a 2nd star level player.
