The end one of the most unique years of all-time, the NBA had an interesting group of games that featured John Wall’s return to the floor after almost two years of absences (torn Achilles). Packers OT David Baktiari tore his ACL as one of the best blindside-protectors in the game that boosts the Super Bowl chances of many other NFC contenders. With the year coming to a close, @PSO_Sports takes a look at how each NBA team can consider this year a success as well.

Here is the best of the day from December 31, 2020:

John Wall made his return after 2 missed years

John Wall is a 5x All-Star, certified dime dropper, and one of the fastest players basketball fans have ever witnessed. It was good to see him back on the floor where he showed minimal rust and had another All-Star caliber performance.

The NFC is now a full-blown 3-team race

Entering the last day of the year 2020, the Green Bay Packers were seen as the clear favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl with a seemingly-inevitable clinching of home-field advantage and forcing every contender to come through Lambeau Field. However, now that David Bakhtiari has torn his ACL on New Years Eve, it removes Green Bay as the clear-cut NFC favorite.

New Orleans and Seattle benefit most as the only two teams with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations and proven track records. Tampa Bay can also be considered a contender, but the lack of continuity will likely be too much to overcome when facing three teams who have had their Hall of Fame QB in place for at least a decade. Chicago’s chances of winning their Week 17 matchup and entering the playoffs have now increased significantly as well.
