Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals went back and forth until Trae Young went to the locker room with an ankle injury and Khris Middleton took over in the fourth. Ke’Bryan Hayes made an incredible throw from behind third base, Panthers QB Sam Darnold is a breakout candidate for the 2021 season, and June 27th marked the eighth anniversary of the Bucks drafting Giannis 15th overall.

Here is the best of the day from June 27, 2021:

Khris Middleton caught fire in the 4th Qtr (20 PTS) to lead Milwaukee’s comeback over Atlanta

In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the Hawks got out to an early lead, being up by 15 in the first quarter. Trae Young was on fire with 32 points after three quarters, including a three from the logo along with a shimmy. Towards the end of the third quarter, Trae Young went to the locker room after tweaking his ankle.

He returned in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough as Khris Middleton outscored the Hawks 20-17 in the final quarter on the way to a Bucks 113-102 victory. Middleton ended up with 38 points and Giannis finished with 33, both of them having 11 rebounds. For the Hawks, Trae finished with 35 points on 6-14 3PT shooting.

WHEN KHRIS MIDDLETON’S ON THE MONEY, NOBODY HAS A CHANCE AGAINST MILWAUKEE

Game 3 between the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks was neck and neck until Khris Middleton took over in the fourth quarter. He scored 20 of his 38 points in the final period, and ATL only recorded 17 as a team during that span. MIL left with a double-digit victory after finding themselves down at the end of the third. Giannis added 33 points and Trae Young had 35 despite leaving the game for some time with an injury. Atlanta will look to even the series in Game 4 at home.

Khris Middleton was on fire in Game 3 as he scored 38 points (20 of them coming in the fourth quarter), which was enough to outscore Atlanta by himself during the final period. Outside of him, Milwaukee’s squad does a great job of consistently playing their role at a high level, but Middleton is prone to off nights. He only had 15 points in each of the first two games, but when he is on, it takes the Bucks to a whole new level.

Milwaukee’s 2x All-Star has shown the ability to take over as the Bucks’ primary scorer down the stretch if he’s on his A-game like in Game 3. When Middleton plays his role at a high level, it elevates the team as a whole, and turns them into a squad that nobody has a chance to beat.

Considering Giannis will always have around 30+ PTS & 10+ REB while P.J. Tucker/Jrue Holiday will play great defense with P.J. adding scrappy rebounding, this Bucks team can go as far as Middleton will take them, and that’s all the way to the Championship when he’s scoring at a high level.
