Jerry Rice is one of the greatest Wide Receivers in NFL history due to his penchant for making contested catches and his ability to rack up a heavy volume of yards. Rice was a part of three Super Bowl winning teams for the San Francisco 49ers, made 13 Pro Bowls, was a 10x 1st Team All-Pro, and owns more than 100 NFL records. There is no doubt that Jerry Rice ranks among the greatest players in NFL history.
It’s rare for a Wide Receiver to win the MVP award and Rice found a way to accomplish that feat too in 1987. His career achievements are unprecedented for any NFL player. There’s a legitimate argument to be made that Jerry Rice is the greatest NFL player of all-time as his gaudy numbers and accolades are beyond impressive. “Flash 80″‘s records should stand for a long time, as no receiver is close to breaking any of his records. Megatron was close but the toll on his body was too much, making Rice’s durability even more impressive.
