As New York Knicks fans celebrate Immanuel Quickly on his 23rd birthday, check out some of the best records the promising Point Guard has already broken.

Taken by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 25th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Point Guard Immanuel Quickley was instantly traded to the New York Knicks, creating a large sense of regret for the Thunder franchise after sudden success as a rookie. Quickley became a meaningful player for the Knicks, with polished and efficient shooting, scoring, and playmaking off of the bench.

The Maryland native ranked 23rd in the 2018 recruiting class and spent two seasons at the Kentucky University. Quickley played great basketball and was named the 2020 SEC Player of the Year, before declaring for the NBA draft shortly after. Although “IQ” fell down the draft board, he was sure to make NBA teams regret passing on him by playing at an elite level and adding integral value to his future franchise’s success.

Signed and sealed to a multi-year rookie contract in November 2020, IQ has exceeded expectations from the jump. Due to his efficient three-point shooting, team-first mentality, and coachability, Quickley has carved out an impressive role on the Knicks and has a promising future ahead of him with some impressive franchise records already under his name.
