Taken as the 34th overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft, young Jack Flaherty has shown the Cardinals why he was deserving of a 1st Round Pick. Flaherty came fifth in the 2018 ROY voting behind the likes of Walker Buehler, Ronaldo Acuna Jr., and Juan Soto. Jack followed up his stellar rookie year by finishing fourth in the NL Cy Young and 13th in NL MVP voting during 2019 after an outstanding second half. Utilizing his mid-90s fastball and a deadly slider, the big righty quickly became a deadly strikeout machine.

The 2020-21 seasons saw his numbers slightly dip from his 2019 breakout year, but Flaherty still managed a strong 1.060 WHIP and a near 3.20 ERA for the Cardinals during 2021. Alongside the likes of Buehler and co, Jack Flaherty has turned into a dominant young pitcher that all hitters will face with fear for years to come and is looking to continue to rewrite the Cardinals record books.
