Here are the 5 best teams to invest in on FANDEX:

UCONN

(o/u 0.72 wins on Fandex)

The Huskies are back in the tournament for the first time since 2016. Danny Hurley’s squad has plenty of depth and is finally healthy at the right time. The Huskies match up very well with their first-round opponent Maryland who has lost three of their last four games, two to non-tournament teams.

Connecticut is led by potential lottery pick James Bouknight who scored 19 points per game this year despite being hurt for a large portion of the Big East schedule. 10 Huskies averaged double-digit minutes this season, with the backcourt of Bouknight, R.J Cole, and Tyrese Martin carrying the scoring load.

Since Bouknight’s return, the Huskies won 6 out of 7 before falling in the Big East semifinals to Creighton. Many believe they can make a deep run in the tournament, but one can not pass up the value of taking them to win their first matchup against a lower-seeded and inferior squad.

Rutgers

(o/u 0.68)

After their tournament dreams came to a crashing halt last year, Rutgers is finally back in the tournament for the first time since 1991. Steve Pikiell built a quality resume against tough Big Ten competition and has the talent to win even as a 10-seed. Despite being the higher seed, the Pikiell’s group is still favored in Vegas and is a solid bet on Fandex with a 0.68 tournament win total.

The Scarlet Knights are among the country’s most experienced teams; 6 of their 7-man rotation are either Juniors or Seniors. Ron Harper Jr. led the team in scoring and is a matchup problem for many due to his size and range. Geo Baker and Jacob Young provide a great backcourt punch, and Miles Johnson has the size and experience of dealing with opposing Big Ten frontcourts.

Baylor

(o/u 2.84)

Talks of a National Championship run have surrounded the Bears all season, and they have lived up to those high expectations. Despite being upset in the Big 12 tournament, Scott Drew’s squad secured a #1 seed for the first time in school history and is a safe pick to make it to the Elite 8. The Bears should be able to get by their 2nd round matchup of either UNC or Wisconsin, and they should be heavily favored in their sweet sixteen matchup as well.

The Bears’ no-middle defense has been giving Big 12 opponents fits all season, and it should do the same against Hartford, the winner of UNC/Wisco, and their Sweet 16 foe. The swarming defense is led by Jarod Butler, Davion Mitchell, and Macio Teague. Three guards who all have the potential to go for 20+ a game. They have a plethora of frontcourt talent to compete with any team in the country and are a legitimate threat to win the national championship. All the Bears have to do is reach the Elite 8 to net a positive ROI on this investment.

Gonzaga

(o/u 3.22)

The number one overall seed and only undefeated team remaining in college basketball have the highest Fandex win total, and for good reason. Mark Few’s team prides itself on offensive efficiency and has the ability to score quickly and in bunches. Before an easy conference schedule, the Zags beat the #2 (Iowa), #3 (Kansas), and #4 (Virginia) seeds in their bracket by comfortable margins during the regular season.

All-American Corey Kispert, Joel Ayayi, and Jalen Suggs lead the versatile backcourt that tries to beat the opponent down the court on every possession. Drew Timme is the key frontcourt floor stretcher who provides the Zags with shooting all over the floor. They have a great balance of youth and experience that no one has been able to topple yet this season. FiveThirtyEight gives the Zags a 54% chance of making it to the final 4, and they are a popular pick to win it all, making the over 3.22 games one a solid investment on FANDEX.
